I am often advising people to concentrate on “reading” the
energy. This can be done in many ways: visual, audible or by using signs or
significance. We are first taught in schools and then later we pass it on from
parent to child to ignore or even counter this way of perceiving. “Use your
intellect, use your intellect” we are told, and we build educational systems to
instate this. Now the cynic in me questions why this is so. Is it because the use of a higher perception is more powerful
than the intellect, so is deterred? Yes that’s right; being taught to only
trust the intellect leaves you very limited and that’s perhaps why it has
become the mantra of education.
More and more the importance of play has become recognised,
as it once was, especially during childhood but really at any age. Having a
young son teaches this more and more - how excitement infuses him with
curiosity. And it is this that develops his higher mind, as it is with us all,
because it does not place limits on the mind. To truly see is to truly think
and unfortunately for all of us this comes without limitations.
So there I was the other morning
being woken yet again by my son climbing into mummy’s and daddy’s bed. This
time, as mum went off somewhere, he lay quite still for some time snuggling and
his energy really hit me………so much opportunity!
Now it would be easy to read it
as ‘potential’ but this would be to miss it. He has opportunity – all the
things that are already written for him. This energy feels free of hindrance
and avoidance. This may come and it would be a shame. I am not summoning
anything up for him by saying this but every living soul has things to confront
and change in themselves or they would not be here. Lying there and hugging
this energy struck me as to just how much avoidance does creep into our lives.
